Meet the Craftsman

Hi there, my name is Travis O’Rourke and I am the craftsman at T.O. Leathercraft.  I got into leather work out of the necessity to cover up a few of my blades that were laying around in my workshop.  It was a hobby I had been interested in much earlier in life, I just never took the plunge.  But, once I made my first project, I was hooked.  It's a very fulfilling art from initial design to handing over a finished project.  I've spent the last several years working with leather just about every day, and I'm still improving, and still finding no shortage of knowledge yet to gain. 

I had the opportunity to travel, live, and work all over the world.  I was a career serviceman in the U.S. Army Special Forces, and retired after 23+ years of service.  I’m originally from South Louisiana but took a real liking to the 4 seasons, mountains, and snow as I traveled.  I retired from service in 2017 and found "the last best place" to live, raise my family, and enjoy a semi-retired life.  We are truly happy to call Whitefish, Montana our playground and home where we can enjoy our outdoor lifestyle and hobbies year-round.
